#ThankAFarmer This Holiday Season

This holiday season, we’ve been hearing a lot about farmers helping others – from Jason Brown, who retired from NFL football to fight hunger, to Tyson Foods, which recently donated 151,000 pounds of protein to 5 of the highest need metro food banks in the United States.

We’re excited to hear these stories! We interview farmers from all kinds of agricultural backgrounds – hog farmers, strawberry farmers, cattle ranchers, chicken farmers, soybean farmers, and even a goat dairy. What unites all of them is their commitment to feeding the world.

Farmers are remarkable. They are heroes who work tirelessly to provide affordable, high quality food for families to put on the table. They are innovators who are constantly planning ahead for the future. Farmers and food producers fight hunger—not just during the holiday season, but every day, 24/7, 365 days of the year.

This season, as you sit around the table to celebrate the holidays with your family, share your thankfulness. Post a picture of your holiday meal and share gratitude with the hashtag #ThankAFarmer to our Twitter handle @NCAAC or to Instagram, or by posting on our Facebook page.

And as always, thanks for helping to Feed the Dialogue!
