Celebrating An NC Agriculture Legend

We are saddened to hear of the loss of a true NC agriculture legend, Mr. Robert G. Shipley Sr. The Feed The Dialogue NC video team had the pleasure of interviewing Mr. Shipley on Saturday, August 8, 2015. He beamed with pride as he shared the story of this most amazing family farm and at 103 years of age, he was still fully engaged in helping shape its future.

Mr. Shipley was a vocational agriculture teacher, a compassionate father, friend and farmer. He made a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of hearing his story.

We look forward to sharing highlights from our interview with Mr. Shipley in the very near future. Best wishes to the Shipley family and to his former students and friends in Watauga County and beyond.
